Can we do it again, pleeeaaaase?
Today was the best day. Mommy took us strawberry-picking. I must confess that the idea didn’t seem that appealing at first, but when I got there and saw all the little strawberries growing from those little plants on the ground . . . I thought it was fascinating. I tried my best to only pick the red ones and I quickly filled my little basket. I also helped Thais picking some of hers. Who thought this would be so much fun. Then, we went to the restaurant for some comfort food and then we went to the beach. I think the waves are strong and I much prefer to play on the sand. I got a bit worried when all the seagulls gathered near me. It seems our “neighbor” had forgotten a pack of crackers open and the seagulls went for it. I made lots and lots of sand cupcakes and we had a little party at the beach. Soon it was time to go home and Mommy let me have my strawberries with chocolate that day. Thanks Mommy!

Happy Birthday to Daddy (and Auntie Adri) and Mommy
This month we celebrated Mommy and Daddy’s birthday (he shares his birthday with Auntie Adri so we always have double the fun). I really had fun drawing on a shirt for dad and making him a card. We also gave him a new lunchbox and a lego and we took him out for lunch and Mommy cooked dinner. For Mommy’s birthday we did a card. We got her the fancy blender she wanted and plus a ton of books. As it was a weekday, we couldn’t take her anywhere, but Daddy cooked lunch. I had lots of yummy cake.

I loooove my sister
I am the big sister and I really love Thais. Sometimes we fight, but most of the time we play together. I hug her if she is sad and I read her books in the morning. During the night, if she cries, I will give her a hug or hold her hand. That is what big sisters are for, right?

I love drawing
As I grow up, my drawings get more detailed and more complex. I enjoy drawing butterflies, ladybugs, whales, girls, princesses, my family, and lots more. I can now even do toes and fingers on people’s hands. I am so proud of my drawing and I always have company as Thais loves drawing too.

Visitors from England
Well, Auntie Iza is really from Brazil originally, but now she lives in England with Uncle Roger and Luca Francis, their son. They came to see us just one day and we took them to Happy Hollow. I had a great time playing with them and going on all the rides. They came back to our house and we had dinner together. Soon, it was time to say goodbye. I hope they come back soon, it was such a fun day.

Fun in the park
We have been going to this local park lately. I like it because it has monkey bars that are low enough for me to reach. I have been practicing a lot. This one also has a titter-totter.

I am a big kid now
Today was my first day at the big kids room. I liked that I saw teacher Michelle on the other side of the fence and she waved. I entered the room and washed my hands and found my cubby and then I looked around to see what I could see. I saw some familiar faces and some new faces. Mommy went around with me and we met all the teachers. I already knew teacher Jessica. It was nice to see her again. I couldn’t decide what to do first. Then, I saw some of my friends on the play structure inside the classroom (yes, isn’t that something?) and decided that I wanted to climb it. I gave Thais and Mommy a big hug and said goodbye. I enjoyed my first day very much and I was waiting for Mommy to pick me up with a big smile in my face. It is fun to be a big girl.

Bye, bye
Today, Mommy, Thais and I went to take Uncle David’s family to the airport. We really didn’t want them to go because they are so much fun to have around, but Mommy promised we’ll visit them soon. I hope they will visit us again soon too. Molly and Luke played with us and read for us – yes, they can read already! I really liked that. I also liked that we did drawings and we went to the park together. I will really miss all of them. I love you Uncle David, Auntie Jane, Molly and Luke. Learning, learning, learning
Lately, I have been very interested in drawing, writing and reading. I can draw people, fish, lollipops, balloons and all sorts of things. I can read numbers while riding in the car – house numbers, petrol prices, all numbers. I am learning to write my name. Here is a sample of my work.
